In the ever-changing, connected, and globalized world, entities have started depending more and more on data to evaluate their internal performance in order to explore new opportunities for improvements and growth. This requires processing a massive intricate set of data labeled as big data . Given the complexity of big data, predictive and prescriptive analytics can be used in order to retrieve insights from the data and plan strategic responses in advance. The smart immersive modeling lab relies on developing predictive analytics through machine leaning and deep learning and prescriptive analytics through simulation (discrete event, agent based, physics based, and immersive) and optimization moldering in order to develop solutions for real world problems in different domains such as manufacturing, healthcare, transportation, and agro-industry. The smart immersive modeling lab is equipped with advanced immersive technologies for developing virtual reality, augmented reality, and mixed reality models to collect data, analyze the performance of immersed participants, and guide them to improve their performance in real-time. Immersive technologies are powerful tools to better understand perception and its underlying theoretical mechanisms through generating highly controllable stimuli and capturing meaningful and rich data regarding participants' behavior which would have been otherwise impossible.
