IoT and Sensor Networks

Across two tech-intensive days, students learn how connected devices transform modern farming. Beginning with the fundamentals of sensors, actuators, and wireless data flow, they progress to designing a small-scale network. A hands-on build lab and a visit to CDC Farm let participants deploy sensors, compare indoor versus outdoor challenges, and discuss how real-time data supports nutrition, sustainability, and decision-making on the farm.
